2.6 magnitude earthquake near Block Island

NEW SHOREHAM, R.I. (WPRI) — The U.S. Geological Survey says a 2.6 magnitude earthquake occurred off the coast of Rhode Island on Sunday morning.

It happened nearly 27 miles off Block Island at 3:21 a.m. and was 10 kilometers deep.

Anyone who felt the earthquake can report it to the USGS on their website.
