STOUGHTON, Mass. (WPRI) — Massachusetts State Police are investigating a multi-car crash that killed a Boston man in Stoughton on New Year’s Eve.

Police believe Brandon Rose, 34, was driving on Route 24 South around 11:30 p.m. when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a guardrail before crashing into a Honda Accord.

When Rose got out of his car, police said he was then struck and killed by a Jeep Grand Cherokee, which was being driven by a 32-year-old Milton man.

The 25-year-old male passenger in Rose’s car suffered minor injuries in the first crash. The drivers of the Honda and Jeep were not injured.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
