FAIRHAVEN, Mass. (WPRI) — Fairhaven police have arrested a man who they say was selling fentanyl.
Van McBride, 50, of New Bedford, was arrested after leaving his home on Ashley Boulevard in connection with an investigation into a narcotics delivery operation.
Police executed a search warrant on McBride’s home and found more than 8 grams of fentanyl, drug distribution paraphernalia and more than $1,300 in cash.
At the time of his arrest, McBride was free on bail from a 2018 case in which he was charged with possession with intent to distribute fentanyl. He is now facing the same charge following the most recent arrest.
He is expected to be arraigned on Wednesday.
