NORTH ATTLEBORO, R.I. (WPRI) — Police are investigating after a dog was found dead in North Attleboro on Sunday.
According to the Massachusetts Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA) in Angell, the female German Shepard was found in the parking lot of Ruth Rhind recreational park on Huntsbridge Road.
The MSPCA said the dog was found placed on bedding and covered in a lightweight plastic tarp.
Both the MSPCA and North Attleboro Police Department are actively investigating the dog’s death as animal cruelty.
