SWANSEA, Mass. (WPRI) — A massage therapist was arrested Tuesday after two customers claimed they were touched inappropriately during massages.

Frank Ferdinand Jr., 59, of Onset, was charged with two counts of indecent assault and battery on a person 14 or older. He’s scheduled to be arraigned in court on Wednesday.

Police said Ferdinand had been operating out of Harmony Day Spa on Wilbur Avenue in Swansea. He’s not an employee of the spa, however, but rather a self-employed massage therapist who rented space at the facility, according to police.

While investigating the initial complaint, detectives learned of a second alleged victim who reported being inappropriately touched by Ferdinand.

Police said the Board of Registration of Massage Therapy was notified of Ferdinand’s arrest.
