FREETOWN, Mass. (WPRI) — A Freetown man was arrested Monday after police say he was mailed two flat-screen televisions – one he ordered, one by mistake – and opted to keep them both.

Police said the delivery service notified them that it delivered two 86-inch 4K HDR Smart LED TVs to Nicholas Memmo’s Rounsevell Drive address.

The service told police one of the televisions was delivered by mistake and attempts to contact Memmo were unsuccessful.

When officers visited Memmo’s home to try and recover the television, police said he refused to cooperate.

Police returned to Memmo’s home with a search warrant and found the second television mounted to the wall.

Memmo, 35, was charged with larceny over $1,200 by false pretense and misleading a police officer.
