NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WPRI) — Two adults and four children are without a home after a fire broke out in New Bedford Thursday night.

Firefighters rushed to a home on Mate Drive and found an attached garage fully engulfed in flames, which spread to the house.

Three cars and a motorcycle were badly damaged.

One of the vehicles also began leaking gasoline, which ignited. Firefighters had to use foam to put it out.

No injuries were reported and the cause remains under investigation.

This fire comes after several over the past two days in Southern New England, which have displaced a total of more than 40 people.
