FALL RIVER, Mass. (WPRI) — Two Fall River city councilors have a proposal on the docket for Tuesday’s council meeting.

The proposal is a resolution that would require approval from the City Council for removals and appointments to any city board or committee.

This comes after Mayor Jasiel Correia was accused of removing two school committee members from the Durfee Building Committee.

One of those committee members is Paul Coogan, who lost by just 241 votes in last week’s recall election.

Last Tuesday’s election, which both recalled and reelected Mayor Correia, was in response to the federal fraud charges Correia was indicted on in relation to his app SnoOwl.

Correia denies the charges against him.
