TAUNTON, Mass (WPRI) — A homicide investigation is underway in Taunton after a stabbing victim died at the hospital.
Taunton police said they were called to a home on White Street around 3:45 p.m. Wednesday and found a man suffering from an apparent stab wound.
The victim, identified as Robert Hickey, 50, was rushed to Morton Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 4:20 p.m., according to the Bristol County District Attorney's office.
The scene remained active throughout the night as police searched the home for evidence.

Shortly before 11 p.m., District Attorney Thomas Quinn announced that two people are under arrest and are being charged with the homicide. Richard Mulcahy, age 37, will be charged with murder and armed robbery, Quinn said. He has connections to Taunton, Weymouth, and Florida. Danielle Deory, age 35, of Taunton, is being charged with armed robbery.
Both are expected to be arraigned Thursday morning in Taunton District Court.
