Dartmouth man arrested after hitting woman, 2 girls in parking lot

DARTMOUTH, Mass. (WPRI) — Police have arrested a Dartmouth man after they say he hit a woman and two girls in a parking lot.

According to the Dartmouth Police Department, the woman, 43, and two girls, 15 and 13, were hit by a Ford pickup truck being driven by 53-year-old Scott Correia in the Stop and Shop Plaza on Faunce Corner Road.

Police said the woman and the 13-year-old girl were transported to St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford, while the 15-year-old was transported Hasbro Children’s Hospital. There’s no update on their condition at this time.

Correia was arrested on an outstanding warrant and for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

Police said the crash remains under investigation.
