FALL RIVER, Mass. (WPRI) — A woman was taken to the hospital for evaluation after an overnight crash in Fall River.

The crash happened around 1:45 a.m. on Highland Avenue. Police said a 30-year-old from Fall River turned onto the roadway at a high rate of speed, then overcorrected and hit a parked vehicle, which caused her car to roll onto its roof.

The driver was able to get out of the vehicle before officers arrived, according to police. She was cited for speeding.

Police said both vehicles were towed from the scene after they were damaged in the crash.
