SEEKONK, Mass. (WPRI) — Police have arrested four men on firearms charges and possession of burglary tools after suspicious activity led officers to search their car.
A K-9 officer had observed suspicious activity at the Motel 6 on Fall River Avenue Saturday evening, which led him to pull the vehicle over with the four men inside.
Police said the officer’s K-9 picked up a scent while walking around the vehicle.
Conducting a probable cause search of the car, police found a stolen Glock firearm with a fully loaded high-capacity magazine and four ski masks, gloves, a hammer and black zip ties.
Officers arrested the men, Angel Otero, 26, Justin Tallo, 29, and George Miller, 25, all of Warwick, and Angel Reyes, 21, of Providence.
All four are charged with possession of a loaded firearm without a license, possession of a large capacity firearm and a large capacity feeding device, possession of burglarious tools, receiving stolen property, transporting a firearm into the Commonwealth to commit a criminal act and conspiracy to commit a felony.
The incident remains under investigation.
