TAUNTON, Mass. (WPRI) — Two people were transported to the hospital after a fire broke out inside a Taunton home Thursday evening, 12 News has learned.

Firefighters rushed to the Linden Street home and found smoke billowing from the roof.

It’s unclear if the people who were transported lived in the home. The severity of their injuries is unknown at this time.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
