PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — One person was stabbed in Providence Tuesday night, according to Providence Police Maj. David Lapatin.
Officials say the stabbing occurred just after 7:30 p.m. on Whittier Avenue.
The victim’s injuries are serious but non-life-threatening, according to officials.
Lapatin added one person has been arrested and is expected to be charged with domestic assault with a deadly weapon.
