SWAT team called to Providence neighborhood; 1 in custody

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — A large police presence was spotted in Providence early Monday morning.

Members of the SWAT Team were called to a home around 3:30 a.m. near the intersection of Priscilla Avenue and Wallace Street.

Eyewitness News cameras spotted police taking a man in handcuffs from the scene and placing him into an ambulance.

As of now it is unclear what happened. Eyewitness News has reached out to police for further information.
