PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — A week after a winter storm dropped about 10" of snow on Providence, the aftermath is still being felt by drivers in the city.
Piles of snow are blocking many parking spots in the city. Drivers are having issues finding spots, and when they do, it's difficult to get in.
According to Victor Morente, a spokesperson for Providence Mayor Jorge Elorza, crews have continued working on snow removal since the storm hit last week. He said they completed most of the work on the city's 2,000 streets immediately after the storm.
But drivers remain aggravated by large snow piles obstructing many parking spots across the city.
"It not only limits the amount of spaces available, but even the ones available are just more of a challenge to get into," Evan Lamanna of Barrington said.
Morente said the city encourages people to call 311 to report any issues.
