PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) -- There has been another violent home invasion in Providence.
Police tell Eyewitness News five or six men forced their way into a home on Lisbon Street around 12:30 a.m. Saturday. The suspects were armed and wearing masks.
Two people were in the home when the men broke in. Police say the suspects assaulted and robbed a 19-year-old man inside the home.
A short time later, police arrested two people a few blocks away on Valley Street. Investigators say both had guns. However, police could not say if they were connected to the home invasion.
Saturday's incident was Providence's second home invasion in as many days. On Friday morning, armed men broke into a home on Myrtle Street and tied up the family inside.
In recent weeks, police have also responded to similar home invasions on Monticello Street, Hanover Street, and Gallatin Street.
