Police investigating boat fire at Port of Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Police in Providence are investigating after a boat caught fire Wednesday morning.

Police say a dry-docked boat at Sims Metal on Allens Avenue caught fire as a group of people was working on it around 8:30 a.m.

Police said nobody was injured.

It’s unclear at this time what cause the boat to catch fire.
