PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — A Providence police officer was rushed to the hospital early Monday morning due to an unspecified medical issue.
A rescue crew responded to the Providence Public Safety Complex around 6:30 a.m. for a report of an officer down.
Commander Thomas Verdi says the officer is now with his family at Rhode Island Hospital.
No additional information was made available.
