PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — A Rhode Island man described by federal authorities as a full member of the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club has been sentenced to seven years in prison on drug and gun charges.

Douglas Leedham, of North Providence, was sentenced Monday, more than two months after he pleaded guilty to trafficking methamphetamine and cocaine and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Leedham, 54, was arrested in February after a court-authorized search of his home found about 39 grams of methamphetamine, 19 grams of cocaine, two handguns, a 12-gauge shotgun, body armor, dozens of knives and hatchets, brass knuckles, more than $6,000 in cash and material used in the packaging and distribution of drugs.

Because he had a previous firearms conviction, he was not allowed to own guns.
