2 arrested after car chase in Providence


PROVIDENCE,  R.I. (WPRI) — A police chase through Providence ended with 2 people being arrested.

The crash happened around 4 a.m. Sunday when police say a person was driving erratically on Atwells Avenue.

When police tried to stop the car, the driver took off, leading police on a brief pursuit.

The pursuit ended on Rounds Avenue, right near Reservoir Avenue.

The suspects are facing charges, according to police, but it’s unclear what those charges are.

Police say no one was hurt, and no vehicles were damaged in the chase.
