DARTMOUTH, Mass. (WPRI) — Two boaters were rescued in Padanaram Harbor on Sunday after a large wave overturned their boat.
Rescuers were called to the scene after the boat capsized, sending two men, both from Taunton, into the 60-degree water.
Officials say a 17-foot boat took on a “good amount of water” and eventually sank. They believe the two had a bad position on the wave, which stood the boat straight up in the water.
Officials said a boater nearby stepped in and helped the men out of the water.
At last check, the boat has not been located.
