JOHNSTON, R.I. (WPRI) — A 79-year-old man is in the hospital after he was struck by a car in Johnston Thursday evening, according to police.
Officers say the incident occurred on Killingly Street just before 5:30 p.m.
The man was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
Police say impairment was not a factor and the crash remains under investigation.
