JOHNSTON, R.I. (WPRI) — A Johnston singer is facing a child molestation charge, Johnston police announced Tuesday.
Police said detectives arrested 40-year-old Anthony “Tony” Cerbo Monday night while executing a court-authorized search warrant at a home on Birchwood Drive. Police said detectives had been investigating a sexual assault of a minor.
According to police, Cerbo was arraigned Wednesday morning on one count of 1st-degree child molestation. The judge ordered Cerbo held without bail until Dec. 11.
According to Cerbo’s website, he has performed locally, and in Boston, New York and Las Vegas.
