Burrillville police investigate fatal car crash

BURRILLVILLE, R.I. (WPRI) — Burrillville police are investigating a fatal car accident that happened early Saturday morning.

Around 4 a.m., police were called to the area of 165 Douglas Pike for a report of a car crash. When they arrived, officers found that a vehicle went off the road and was seriously damaged. 

The investigation showed that the vehicle struck several trees and came to a stop in the parking lot of Colonial Kennel.

As a result of the crash, police say a man, 23, had died. His identity is not being released at this time.

The Rhode Island State Police, Oakland-Mapleville Fire Department, Pascoag Fire Department and the Rhode Island Medical Examiners Office all assisted the Burrillville Police Department.
