Police: teen busted with pot, pills, cash

PORTSMOUTH, R.I. (WPRI) — Detectives found a large amount of marijuana at a North Street home, Portsmouth police said Thursday.

Police said they arrested Colin Davis, 18, during the raid Wednesday night. He is facing charges of drug possession and distribution.

According to police, detectives were executing a search warrant at the home as part of a joint investigation with Newport police. During their search, detectives found nearly two pounds of marijuana, $2,100 in cash, and packaging materials. Police said Davis was also carrying 70 Xanax pills when he was arrested.
