Police investigating after nails found inside hot dogs in Newport

NEWPORT, R.I. (WPRI) — Newport police are investigating after nails were found inside pieces of hot dogs on Monday.

Police responded to the area of Thurston Avenue after a resident said he was walking his dog when he noticed pieces of hot dogs scattered on the lawns and after further checking, saw that they contained nails.
