Police fishing for tips in Jamestown theft

JAMESTOWN, R.I. (WPRI) — Police in Jamestown are casting a wide net - hoping the public can help them solve a recent theft.

Police posted photos of two men on their Facebook page who they believe stole expensive fishing gear from a boat docked in town.

The timestamp on the surveillance photo shows the theft happened around 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

Police are asking anyone who recognizes either suspect in the photos to contact Det. Carlino at 401-423-1212.
