JAMESTOWN, R.I. (WPRI) — The US Coast Guard said it found the owner of a boat found adrift near the Jamestown Bridge Thursday morning.
According to a Coast Guard tweet, crews began a water search after a good Samaritan found the skiff in the water north of the bridge.
There are no reports of anyone missing, but orange juice was found inside the boat, leaving them to believe someone could have been on board.
Even though the Coast Guard found the boat's owner, they are still asking the public to report any information about seeing a person in the boat.
Anyone with information is asked to call Sector SE New England at 508-457-3211
