Potential for minor street flooding overnight as rain continues

Blackstone Valley

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — The torrential rain that impacted travel all day on Friday has moved out, but the risk of localized street flooding continues as some rainfall lingers.

A Flood Watch remains in effect for the entire area until 8 a.m. Saturday.

Reports of flooded roads include Atwood Avenue in Cranston, Broadway in East Providence, and Route 44 in Rehoboth.

The strong winds and rain even brought a large tree down onto a home on Spring Grove Avenue in Warwick.
