PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — The Pawtucket Red Sox are pulling out all of the stops to get fans to brave the chilly weather, including offering free tickets to everyone who wants to attend any of the next three games.

All adults, senior citizens and children will be able to attend general admission areas from Monday to Wednesday for free.

“While it may not be the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin, we realize it will certainly be a bit brisk at McCoy Stadium these next three days,” PawSox Executive Vice President and General Manager Dan Rea said.

Fans who have already purchased tickets to these games will receive an additional free “flex” ticket which can be redeemed at future PawSox games. Season ticket holders will be invited to take advantage of the field-level suites during these next three games.

In addition, the PawSox Baseball store will offer a 10 percent discount on all blankets sold.

“Our hearty fans braved chilly weather this weekend—and had a great time doing so,” PawSox President Dr. Charles Steinberg said.  “We seek to thank the fans who weather wintery weather—whether it’s with blankets, suites, or the warmth of being our guests.”
