Light snow blanketing Southern New England; roads may become slick

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Drivers are urged to use caution Friday night as a round of light snow moves through Southern New England.

Accumulating snowfall will continue through about 10 p.m. Friday, then taper off as skies gradually clear. One to three inches is possible south and east of Providence while an inch or less is expected north and west of the city.

Chief Meteorologist Tony Petrarca will have new information tonight on Eyewitness News at 10 on Fox Providence and 11 on WPRI 12.
