Blackstone Valley

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — At least one floor of an apartment building on Lorraine Street in Pawtucket was badly damaged following a fire Saturday evening.

An Eyewitness News crew was on the scene shortly after 6 p.m. as firefighters worked to put out the flames.

There was visible damage to the third floor, where firefighters say the fire started.

Firefighters say there are six apartments in the building, and that everyone who lives there got out safely before they arrived.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
