CUMBERLAND, R.I. (WPRI) — Students at Cumberland Community Elementary School won’t have school on Wednesday.

Superintendent Philip Thornton said it’s due to an issue from the application of a paint product at the school.

School officials are working to address the odor and the paint manufacturer verified that the paint used was safe.

Thornton said the school is working to reopen the school on Thursday.
