LINCOLN, R.I. (WPRI) — Two additional suspects in a home invasion in Lincoln were arraigned in Kent County District Court Monday morning.
Lincoln police said Philip Child, 26, and Hailey Melendez, 26 turned themselves in Friday evening.
They were wanted on charges of first-degree robbery, burglary and conspiracy in connection with a home invasion on Columbia Avenue last Sunday.
Police have already arrested Jordan Palardy, 22, of Pawtucket in connection with the crime. He was arraigned last week in Kent County District Court on charges of first-degree robbery, burglary, and conspiracy to commit burglary and held without bail.
Police said the 81-year-old victim of the home invasion is Palardy's grandfather. They said he was knocked down during the crime and suffered a head injury.
Police said attention to the case in the media and on social media "played a large part in applying the pressure needed to have the suspects turn themselves in."
Both Child and Melendez are due back in court of Dec. 31 for a bail hearing.
