PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Things are heating up on the democratic side of Campaign 2016. Former Rhode Island Governor and presidential candidate Lincoln Chafee is taking shots at Hillary Clinton.

On Monday, Clinton campaigned in New Hampshire, outlining her positions on economic reform, getting corporate money out of elections and early childhood education.

Appearing on CNN Monday afternoon, Chafee again went after Clinton’s electability.

“I don’t think Secretary Clinton is going to prevail. It’s just going to be a succession of charges against her, ethical charges, position on the war. I just think it’s going to catch up with her,” Chafee said.

Though, Clinton seemed more focused on criticizing republicans.

“We can’t go back to the top-down economic policies that failed us before. Now I’ve said that there may be some new voices in the Republican presidential choir but they’re all singing the same old song,” Clinton said.
