Lakeville bank robbery suspect arrested

LAKEVILLE, Mass. (WPRI) – The suspect accused of robbing a Lakeville bank in May has been apprehended in New York nearly one month after the crime.

Jamel A. Hodge, 23, of Boston, was arrested in Yonkers by the FBI and Boston Violent Crimes Task Force on an outstanding warrant.

Hodge is accused of holding up the Bridgewater Savings Bank on Main Street on May 16.

He is charged with the following:

  1. Assault and battery with a dangerous weapon
  2. Armed robbery
  3. Use of a firearm in commission of a felony
  4. Kidnapping
  5. Assault to commit felony (4 counts)
  6. Carrying a firearm without a license
  7. Threat to commit a crime
