Is this year’s drought affecting your Christmas tree?

SCITUATE, R.I. (WPRI) — With Thanksgiving around the corner, many people may begin tagging Christmas trees soon.

Pinpoint Weather Meteorologist Pete Mangione traveled to Henry’s Christmas Tree Farm to see how the drought was affecting this year’s crop.

The Scituate tree farm features tens of thousands of healthy trees on the 131 acres, Mangione found.

“We’ve had very good growth. We’ve got pretty good color. Everything seems to be fine,” said David Henry, longtime owner and Christmas tree farmer. Here’s Pete’s full report on how the crop survived in the video above.
