CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) – A domestic dispute call leads to the arrest of two fugitives from Iowa.
Cranston Police were called to an apartment at Budlong Manor Apartments early Saturday morning for a reported domestic dispute between a woman and her boyfriend. When police arrived, they learned the boyfriend took off, but he was later arrested.
Investigation showed the two people involved; Sheigh Thomas, 31, and Scott Howard, 24, were both fugitives from the state of Iowa and had warrants out for their arrests. Thomas was wanted on operating under the influence and child endangerment charges. Howard was wanted a slew of charges, including escaping from a work detail while in jail for a first degree theft conviction. Cranston Police contacted authorities in Iowa and agreed to extradite both suspects back to Iowa.
Both Thomas and Howard were arraigned by a Justice of Peace on Fugitive from Justice charges, they are both held without bail at the Adult Correctional Facility until their formal arraignment in court on Monday.
