Hundreds take strides at Slater Park in the fight against cystic fibrosis

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — Saturday’s weather was on the side of hundreds of people walking in the annual Great Strides Walk at Slater Park in Pawtucket.

The event is part of a nationwide fundraising event that’s been helping support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s mission to find a cure and raise awareness of the disease.

The walk raised more than $107,000 dollars.
