Hopkinton Police looking for two robbery suspects who stole a chainsaw

HOPKINTON, R.I. (WPRI) — Hopkinton Police are looking for two suspects who stole a chainsaw valued at almost $1,900.

Investigators responded to a call around 6:30 p.m. Saturday at RI Harvesting for an alleged theft.

During their investigation, police were able to determine a man took of with the chainsaw.

A store employee followed the suspect, later identified as 26-year-old Jonathan Ilarraza, outside and was able to open the driver’s side door. However Ilarraza put his car into reverse knocking the employee down, then left the scene.

The employee had injuries to his hand, wrist, leg and knee.

The vehicle that Ilarraza was driving, along with a female accomplice inside, was found to be stolen. 

Ilarraza is wanted for felony shoplifting and assault with a deadly weapon. He is also wanted out of North Kingstown for domestic breaking and entering and from the Rhode Island State Police for receiving stolen goods. 

The woman accomplice is described a white, 5’2″, 120lbs, with long black hair and a tattoo on her back.
