PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — The public will soon be able to purchase tickets for the upcoming performance of ‘Hamilton’ at the Providence Performing Arts Center July 23 – August 11, 2019.

Tickets go on sale Saturday, June 8 at 8 a.m. on the PPAC website and in person at their box office, but will not be available for purchase by phone.

There is a maximum purchase limit of four tickets per account for the run of Hamilton. Prices range from $83 to $188 with a select number of $298 premium seats available for each performance.

There will be a lottery for forty $10 seats for all performances. Details will be announced closer to the performance date.

PPAC says camping outside leading up to the sale will not be permitted. Wristband distribution will begin at 6 a.m. Saturday but does not guarantee a ticket, only a place in line. There is only one wristband per customer and people must bring a valid photo ID that matches their credit card to receive a wristband.

PPAC is the only authorized source of Hamilton tickets and cannot guarantee the legitimacy of tickets purchased from third-party sellers.

Hamilton is the story of America’s Founding Father Alexander Hamilton an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington’s right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and was the new nation’s first Treasury Secretary.  It’s the story of America then, as told by America now.
