Garbage truck goes up in flames in Woonsocket

WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — Crews were called to a garbage truck fire in Woonsocket on Thursday.

The fire broke out behind a building on North Main Street just after 8 a.m.

City public works director Steven D’Agostino told Eyewitness News the truck did not belong to the city.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
