PLAINVILLE, Mass. (WPRI) — Plainridge Park Casino has been fined $10,000 by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission for a variety of alcohol-related offenses.
During routine monitoring by the Gaming Commission in April and May, officials observed 7 instances of refrigerators containing alcohol not being properly secured. Officials also witnessed 13 instances of patrons being served more than two alcoholic drinks at a time, which is a violation of policies issued by the Gaming Commission.
Plainridge has also taken several steps on its own to prevent future infractions. The Gaming Commission says the casino has given its bartenders additional training, placed new signs to remind staff of the regulations, and has increased manager oversight.
One employee was fired for repeated violations.
