Gallery: Wild weather causes significant damage across northwest RI

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — After an afternoon of wild weather, the National Weather Service confirmed at least one tornado touched down in Rhode Island Tuesday.

Eyewitness News received several reports of damage across northwest Rhode Island, including in Lincoln, where officials said a tornado caused significant damage in some residential neighborhoods. Damage was also reported in other communities in the northwest corner of the state.
