Gala to support families battling cystic fibrosis in memory of local teen

NORWOOD, Mass. (WPRI) — An annual gala next month will help raise money for families caring for someone with cystic fibrosis (CF).

The 10th Annual Hearts for Hope Gala is March 2 at 6:30 p.m.

It will be held at Four Points by Sheraton, located at 1125 Boston-Providence Turnpike in Norwood.

Tickets are available online.

Hearts for Hope is a nonprofit organization created in 2009 with the mission to provide financial aid to families battling CF.

According to the organization’s website, Hearts for Hope has raised more than $1 million, and all of the funds go directly towards alleviating the financial burden that comes with caring for a CF patient.

The foundation was created in memory of Fallon P. Finegan, who at 16 years old lost her battle with CF. She was a student at Mansfield High School.
