DIGHTON, Mass. (WPRI) — Thirteen vehicles that were set to be auctioned off were destroyed in a fire Monday evening in Dighton.
According to Dighton fire officials, one of the vehicles caught fire just after 9 p.m. and the flames spread to the remaining vehicles, which were a mix of sedans and SUVs.
Officials said it took about 30 minutes to get the flames under control. Some of the fires were stubborn due to the gasoline inside the vehicles.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
It was the second fire at Manheim New England in the past three years. The previous one was deemed accidental.
