Fire damages home on Thanksgiving morning

WEST WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) – Firefighters were called to a fire that forced four people from their home early Thanksgiving morning.

Officials said the fire broke out around midnight on Maple Avenue.

The home appeared to have been heavily damaged by the smoke and flames.

No injuries were reported.

Fire officials say the displaced residents had another place to stay for Thanksgiving.
