FALL RIVER, Mass. (WPRI) — A man accused of stabbing and critically wounding another man in Fall River last weekend is now in police custody.

According to police, Patrick Theriault turned himself in at Freetown Police headquarters Thursday afternoon.

Theriault, 22, was wanted on charges of armed assault with intent to murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing substantial injury.

Police allege he stabbed the victim late Saturday night at Ships Cove Apartments on Canal Street. At last check, the 37-year-old man was in serious condition at Rhode Island Hospital.
