Fall River police arrest 3, recover stolen property

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WPRI) — Fall River police arrested three men Sunday night on charges they robbed and assaulted three men.

Police said officers responded to a report about a fight outside a bar on Plymouth Avenue just before 6:30 p.m.

When officers arrived, three victims told police they were attacked by a group of men who stole from them an iPhone, wallet, and keychain.

One of the victims said he had accidentally left his keys in the dressing room of a clothing store and when he returned to get them they were gone.

According to the victims, they then asked a group of males inside the store if they had the keys, at which point they men told police the suspects became aggressive and assaulted them.

Police said the suspects were located a short time later and one of the suspects had the victim’s wallet and phone with him at the time of the arrest.

The suspects have been identified as Raphy Veras, 18, Tomas Martinez, 23, and Exavian Ortiz, 18. All were taken into custody and faces charges including assault and battery and unarmed robbery.
